~*~ All through Kai's excuses, Cross shook his head obstinately. He never once thought that he had just committed the same mistake that he was accusing his 'brother' of. Oh no. It was quite obvious that Cross here was the good one, who had come looking for the lost sheep. For this reason, he failed to understand what Keki was getting at when she got all upset and told him he shouldn't be out. He was just doing what she was! Helping find a lost, naughty pack mate! Adults. Hmph. No gratitude. But this other wolf - who seemed more of a youthful age and not quite as old as the others, she was nice. He made room for him and invited him to come further away from the cold storm whipping up outside. Cross trotted over and sat down by her. "You know," he said. ,"You remind me of Miss Midnight, but you're not her. Who are you? What's your name?" very prompt was thing young creature. He tended to be a little more careful with words when around strangers - but as soon as he decided he liked them (which could happen quick as a wink) he let his character shine through. ~*~ |
