Tiny would squeak with worry when finally he and Freyr reached Akemi, the pygmy jerboa climbing carefully down the golden form of the male and scurrying across the ground to the wolfess he saw as his mother. ?Mama! Mama! You have to be okay!? He?d move onto her paw, his beady eyes shining with worry. Her head was spinning and throbbing all at once. She was fighting off that darkness that wanted to drag her in. Akemi was convinced if she lost consciousness now she wasn?t waking in this world again. ?F-Freyr...? The smell of her own blood was making her stomach churn all the more. Gods help her... She... She didn?t want to die. ?Trying...? She would whine softly, both in response to Tiny and her brother. At least now she wasn?t alone. Her brother couldn?t help her... He had no healing knowledge, and Tiny certainly could not. But she wasn?t alone... And that was enough for her to keep fighting just a bit harder. It seemed too, thank the gods, that a healer would swiftly respond to the call. She?d lift her head, her single orb falling on the male. He was a healer, asking for permission to help. ?Yes... please...? She?d lower her head again, blinking her single remaining orb several times, as if trying to beat back the darkness with each blink. ?Think... I think the pup is stuck... Too... Big...? No kidding. If Akemi had any idea she was trying to expel a pup that would be bulkier than even his father when he was fully grown she probably would have had a heart attack. Her mind couldn?t focus on that though, her voice getting quieter, her mind trying to shut down. ?Hard... To stay... Awake...? The words slurred some as she tried to lift her head, fighting with all the strength she could. Would she luck out again with a loner as a healer? Had she not been so out of if she might have noticed Rune's approach as well.Thank the gods... thank the gods she wasn't alone. |
