Her children were certainly growing swiftly though confidence hadn't developed quite as quick for some of them. Aslan was easily the most adventurous, so much so that it did scare Novella a little, fearful that at some point he would get himself into trouble. He understood borders at least now, though so far it hadn't stopped his little trips to Sawtooth. Herne on the other hand couldn't have been anymore different. Aslan wandered where he pleased but the smaller of her sons would stick close to the den, the escape from the storm being the only time he had really travelled any distance from it. Still though, not that the boy realised it but as the smallest and weakest of her children, even he had managed to scare Novella. He certainly wasn't as small or weak as her nephew Descant had been, though it was another possibility she had worried about, more when they were younger to be honest than she did now.

Therefore it would surprise her when the boy suddenly planted himself beside her, silent aside from a soft pant as he looked up at her. He was rather happy it seemed though whether for himself or for the company the mother wasn't immediately sure. "Hello Herne." She would smile back at the child, nuzzling him in greeting. "Did you decide to come and watch the sunrise with me?" She enquired. The colours were fading now, he had missed much of it though Novella would of course still invite her son to join her none the less.
