He watched as the boy jumped, and resisted the urge to smirk. Then Lian whirled around to face him, a look of indignation painting the small boy's face and he returned Lel's question in what was no doubt the most impressive show of defiance the boy could muster. The white giant chuckled darkly, lowering so that he was eye to eye with the boy. He pushed his face right up to his son?s and grinned ominously. "I believe I asked you first." His voice dripped with a warning, an unspoken threat. He had no real plans to hurt the child, but old habits die hard and he was used to this sort of intimidation.
In reality he just wanted to keep his children away from the grey and black bitch, he had no doubt that if she would do her best to taint them, if she didn't outright try to hurt them. She would be gone soon anyways, and then he'd have all the time in the world of his growing family.
