Her eyes inched open, peering up at the northern beast. The fiery male backed away a pace or two, blinking at her. He bared his teeth in a smile, but it wasn't about to assuage her fear. He was going to eat her, she knew it. He beckoned her forward with a paw, trying to get her out of the brush. Why on earth would she want to do such a thing? And give him the easy opportunity to devour her? She inched backwards instead, hugging the terra under her feet with her belly. More odd tongues flooded from his maw, and she flinched. What was he saying? The ginger male lowered himself onto the sand to wait for her to emerge, probably trying to use his will to force her from the bushes. She pushed her rump through the foliage behind her, intending to disappear into the forest. Yes, she might be safe there. Her strangely wavy coat usually kept the worst of the brambles from shredding her skin, and she doubted this northerner had such traits. But maybe his skin was extra thick, meant to shield him from the worst of his enemies' attacks.
From her newly claimed spot half in and half out of the rear brambles, whiskey coloured optics watched the strange beast. He had bright blue eyes, like many of the wolves of her tribe. They looked strange with his auburn toned pelt, but not in a terribly ugly way. It was just... unusual. Her eyes narrowed as she watched him, waiting for his attack. He was waiting for something. Maybe now was a good time to be bold, and try to scare him away. She could be scary, right? Drawing herself up into a crouch, she jutted her chin out and tried to look intimidating. Which was pretty much impossible for her. "Fi mi nikan, tabi mo yoo ni lati..." She hesitated. What would she do? She wouldn't attack the warmonger wolf, would she? That would be about as smart as jumping into a volcano. Maybe he didn't understand what she was saying, and if she said something that sounded intimidating, he would leave her alone. "Ṣe awọn igi ti kuna isalẹ!" She shouted, narrowing her eyes. Yes, that sounded fairly scary, right?
{OOC: Absolutely not, Dada, you are not scary}.
