He?d easily hear the uneasy tone of her voice, he could easily pick up on the insecurities she held. Her fears were no matter though, he was here with her and he had every confidence in himself. The only cause of fear to him was their father, and he was with his black pet. He wouldn?t think of the man then, this was time for just he and Zola. She?d put her head upon his haunches, ensuring that she would not stray, as he led confidently. Though his puppy body was still more chubby than noble he felt proud leading the girl around.
Eager features would observe the lands around them curious about what they might find, he really wanted to make his first kill. Cold icy eyes would look over the sand, scanning for something that might be moving. He was slow with Zola trailing behind him, but he already knew that speed was not everything. More focus than he?d ever put into anything in his life he would put into finding something to sink his teeth into.
With much searching, they were very far down the beach now, he would finally spot the creature. He?d stop suddenly, eyes and ears trained on the thing before turning to comfort Zola. "Stay here," He?d whisper as he turned to stalk the sand colored crustacean. He?d bend his knees, finding now that speed was what he wanted. He? burst forward, as fast as his puppy paws would take him, sprinting after the thing. He?d leap, eager to get his paws on his prey, when suddenly it would disappear below the sand. All Lian would get was a faceful of sand.
He?d groan as he pushed himself from the partially wet particles. Shaking his pelt he?d look back over to Zola, not deterred. "Help me dig it out!" He?d call out, wanting her to help him in the task.
