Something In The Water

Alvin was hiding in the grasses outside his den. Curled into a ball, he didn't want to be in the den with the rest of his family. But the cold would eventually make him give in and steal the heat from inside.

He lifted his head to the sound of the Azat, and for a surprise he wouldn't be slow to answer. He hopped up, jumping around to get used to the chilly wind and then took off in a sprint toward Bass's den. He slowed down little as he approached, his hind legs hoping to slide into a stop. But he kept his eye on Bass the entire time he had spotted him.

"Hey, what gives?"

Not necessarily in a rude manor, more like he was actually interested in what the king had to say. But still, not quite appropriate in any way.
