The youngster had settled in to wait for Varda's arrival, but it didn't take his sister long at all to appear. Herne pricked his ears towards the tan girl, waving his tail in greeting. "Hello," Herne nodded towards Varda, flicking his flame colored eyes over her frame. She seemed to be doing all right, and his inclination to check on her was swiftly sated. The boy exhaled lightly, settling back on his haunches to get more comfortable.
After a moment, Herne remembered that he had called for Varda for a reason. Grinning a little at himself, Herne turned his gaze towards his sister once more. "How are you, Varda?" He questioned seriously, examining her solemnly. He had not spoken to her as much as he would wanted lately, though that was largely his fault, considering Herne didn't really speak to anyone. Still, he cared about his family, and he wanted to make sure that Varda was doing all right. They were getting older and that meant that they were finally growing up. Soon they would have to pick specialties within Threar, and Herne hadn't the faintest idea as to what he wanted to do. Maybe Varda could help there.
