Chione had always been distant and it was something that concerned Natalya. She knew that her daughter cared for the family, but she often struggled to show it for one reason or another. She had hoped that with time, the girl would come to confide in her, but that day had not yet come. Now she would seek answers on her own. She followed the scent of her daughter to the edge of the strip and approached silently from behind her. She hoped, perhaps, that Chione would reach out of her own accord.
