Take a walk on the wild side

The boy had never stepped into such a muddy territory before, in fact most of the territory here seemed to be water with a few treacherous paths and a thin layer of mud confusing what was true land and what was hidden water. More often then not he stepped wrong and was forced to scramble back to land until his paws where more brown and muddy then black. He was concentrating hard on what was before him, trying to figure out the trick to navigating here ? he was sure there was one if he could just figure it out.
The boy didn't realise he wasn't alone until a voice was calling out to him. He whipped his head up in surprise and misplacing his last step, grim icing as he yanked his paw out of the squelching mud. Shaking off the worst of the clingy wet substance he fully turned and looked at the stranger. ?Never been here before, i'm just taking a break? he said with a welcoming smile, seating himself on a dry bit of earth as he surveyed the boy before him. He looked young too, an added bonus ? Solor hasn't expected to find another young wolf so easily in his adventures. ?How 'bout you?' he asked curiously.
