Porque? Why, oh why had she gone out after a fresh snowfall? She hated the Winter. The snow, the cold, and the wind. Oh, especially the wind. It wasn't a habit for the girl to go out in the cold.. Especially with the frigid temperatures and blankets of white surrounding her. She paced through the knee deep snow, ivory body shivering in desperation as her jaw shut tight to keep her teeth from clattering. Porque, porque, Rue? Those were the only thoughts she could think of, trudging through the snow dust. A few flakes still fell from the sky and clumps of snow desperately clung to her alabaster pelt, almost as desperately as she wanted to get out of the snow. Slowly, she would pace herself to a frozen solid lake, pulling herself onto the slippery surface and laying across of it. "Oi vey," the girl would say in a soft whisper, working to regain her energy. |
