Sage trotted through the snow, deep pawprints left in the snow. Winter had finally come to the lands! The healer smiled to himself. He'd been dreading the winter, thinking he wouldn't be prepared for the foliage free months. The man had been diligent in his travels and managed to fully stock in time! He would slow his pace as he came to a great lake. It was completely frozen over, the evening sun making it glistening and sparkle. This was the man's third winter and he'd be three next summer, yet the wonder of winter still awed him. This awe was completely obliterated when he saw a pure white wolf lying on the edge of the lake. Without hesitating, Sage sprinted towards the form. The gentle rising of her chest told him from a distance he was alive. The femme's fur wasn't near as long as his own, hinting that she probably didn't live in the north. Worry filled his eyes as he slowed. Miss, how long have you been in the open? He skipped the 'are you okay' stuff as it was obvious she was not. He needed to get her to shelter. My name is Sage. Don't worry I'm a healer. Sage moved forward and pressed himself next to her, giving the girl some of his warmth. Gently, he nudged her shivering form towards the shelter of trees. "Burn Baby Burn" |
