Something In The Water

Esperanza had just recently been focusing on the world around her, emerald optics shimmering a light green hue as the sunlight reflected off her eyes. Her lobes perked forward at the sound of the alpha calling for everyone's attention for a meeting. She stood upward and howled that she was coming and began to walk toward where the pack was to be having the gathering, her nose twitching as she caught the alpha's scent, eyes perplexed on the vision of all the wolves whom were in her pack as she sat in the front row, bowing her crown respectively to the two wolves who were her successors, or alphas such as many say.



"How are you all, today?" she asked them, soon lying down as she began to have grey around her muzzle as well as chin. She would be getting older soon, and without a second thought, if she were to die without a second thought, her pups would be alone and have no one to take care of them. She would need to focus and earn good trust with the pack, for her pups needed to live, for she paid no heed to herself perishing, her little ones were all that mattered to her right now.
