Her reaction was priceless and while he was inclined to be thoroughly amused by it, the neat and proper alpha side of him felt bad for embarrassing her. Nevertheless, his lips would twitch up in a bemused smirk as he watched her recover. "Not at all he," he said sincerely, "And yes, I do."

Her next statement drew a laugh from him. "I suppose so." He was very aware of her tone changing. It was odd, the divide that grew between him and whoever he was talking to when they discovered who he was. The respect was not unwelcome, but sometimes he wondered if it was worth the loss of camaraderie.

He cleared his throat. If they were going to talk about pack things then he may as well slip fully into the role. "Tell me, if you are serious about considering Imperium, what rank would you be interested in?"
