Pack Ranks
Tier 1 |
— Queen - The leader of Fiori. There is no position within the pack higher than the Queen and as such anyone in the pack must follow her lead. — King - The rank held by the Queen's partner. They are to be highly respected in the pack and will act as the head of the King’s Council. While she/he is not the secondary ruler to Fiori, she/he does retain the power to accept wolves into the pack and banish them if need be and will act as the Queen's adviser and confidant. She/he is able to make large decisions for the pack on the Queen's behalf if need be. |
— Prince or Princess - A child of the King who is chosen to be the heir to the throne. They will train closely with the King and Queen to prepare to take the throne. Because of this, when they reach the age of two, or when the King considers them ready for the role, they will take the title of Prince or Princess and will become the secondary ruler of Fiori. |
Tier 2 |
— Archduke or Archduchess - The lead beta. They are second in command in the King’s Council and have the responsibility of overseeing the well being of the pack. They are to ensure that each of the lead positions are following through with their responsibilities. They must also monitor the mentors to ensure each of the pack’s Students are being trained properly. They have the power to accept new wolves into the pack, may place new members into appropriate ranks as they see fit, and may make minor decisions for the pack without consulting the King. This wolf is a trusted, close friend to the King and is most likely a sibling or family member. No one may challenge for this position, they will be hand selected by the King. |
— Grand Duke or Grand Duchess - The beta. They are to handle the day-to-day affairs of the pack and work closely with the Archduke. They have the power to accept new members, and may make minor decisions within the pack; however they can only place new members into the rank of commoner. This position may be challenged for under the supervision of the King. |
— Duke or Duchess - The secondary beta. They work toward many of the same goals as the Grand Duke, but specifically are to focus on the children of the pack. They are to ensure that the Mothers are catered to and that the pups are well cared for so they can grow up strong. The Duke will help the King or Queen pair the Children with their mentors when it comes time for them to be students. This position may be challenged for under supervision of the King. |
Tier 3 |
— Knight - The lead warrior. They are in charge of making sure the Squires are well trained and will call a training session in fighting for the pack at least once every other season. They are to be the most well trained warrior in the pack, preferably a seasoned veteran. This position may be challenged for under supervision of the King. |
— Count or Countess - The lead healer. They are in charge of making sure all Viscounts are will trained and will call a training session in healing for the pack at least once every other season. They are to be the most skilled and experienced healer in the pack. This position may be challenged for under the supervision of the King. If challenging for this position you will be asked to prove your abilities as a healer with a test of knowledge and skill. |
— Baron or Baroness - The lead hunter. They are in charge of making sure all Baronets are well trained and will call a pack hunt at least once every other season. They will work closely with the Duke to ensure that all Mothers are well fed. This position may be challenged for under the supervision of the King. If challenging for this position you will be asked to prove your abilities as a hunter with a test of skill. |

They will report to the Count and will work with the Duke to keep an eye on the Mothers during their pregnancies. They must attend all trainings in their subject. |
— Baronet - The hunters. They are the main source of food for the pack, but specifically are to make sure the Mothers and their pups are well fed, along with any ailing or elderly wolves that might not be able to hunt for themselves. |
— Scholar - The wolves who wish to study something other than fighting, hunting, or healing. These might be the navigators, linguists, or religion driven wolves of the pack. They are free to, and encouraged to, study anything and everything. However, they will also need to attend training in the other subjects as well to ensure that they can at least protect themselves if needed. |
— Mother - The women of the pack who are pregnant or nursing their pups and are unable to fulfill their duties. They will remain in this rank from when they announce their pregnancy to the King, Queen, or Archduke till their pups reach their third season. At that point they will be returned to their former rank. |
Tier 5 |
— Student - The children of the pack that are between the ages of one and two. At the beginning of their first year, the King or Queen will choose mentors for each of the pups in the pack with the help of the Duke and they will move from the rank of Child to Student. They will remain in this rank until their second birthday, when they will either choose their specialty or fall into the rank of Commoner. |
— Child - Every pack member that falls between the ages of newborn and one year. Once they reach a year old they will be moved from this rank and into the rank of Student. |
— Elder - Members of the pack over the age of nine. They are encouraged to participate in the pack as much as they can and are especially encouraged to pass on their knowledge to the younger members, but are not required to. They are to be respected and treated well as thanks for their years of service. |
— Commoner - Everyone in the pack that has not chosen a specialty, has not proven that they can follow through with their duties in their assigned rank, or has just joined and have not met with the King, Queen, or Archduke to decide their ranking. |
Tier 6 |
— Voyager - Members of the pack that are not currently actively participating in the pack. This may be for various reasons such as a trip or pilgrimage. Either way, they are expected to return soon. To be placed in this rank the pack member in question must receive approval from the King or Queen to leave as well as give a possible time of return. |
— Prisoner - Prisoners are to be treated as lower class citizens. They are allowed to hunt for their own food, but will receive no help from the Baron or Baronets in this matter. They also will not receive help from the Count or Viscounts in medical matters unless deemed necessary by the King or Queen. These wolves may ask to challenge for their freedom, but depending on the situation the King’s punishment for doing so may be a maim if the Prisoner was to lose their challenge. |
