Mordecai was simply fantastic in everything he thought about and did. While he had high opinions of himself, he wasn't talking about doing everything perfectly. He loved everything he did and he felt fantastic for it. When the call reached his ears, they flicked back and he ran towards it. Why was his alpha in a different territory?
