A commotion drew him in like a moth to a flame. He arrived upon a confusing scene; two of his soldiers standing before a stranger whose distress echoed across the knolls. Wait... Valen squinted. She looked familiar. His pace slowed as he tried to place her. Perhaps they'd shared a short time together? He thought not. Her scent would have weighed heavier on his mind. Suddenly it clicked. Arcanum. She'd been one of his mother's prized fighters, hadn't she? Intrigued, his pace quickened.

Her loud voice still ringing in his ears, the brute queried, "What's going on here?" Was she sick? Injured? Remembering the squirrel that had tossed at him, he wondered if perhaps the noise was the result of Dione attempting to make friends.
