It would seem like all the females in his every day life were quite grumpy. He couldn't help but chuckle as both Motif and his wife said that they were not pulling themselves up to his rock. "I will install a ramp for next time." He teased, licking both of their cheeks in turn. He had returned Rhy's greeting, and watched as the mass gathered. There were some wolves missing, his frown seen to all. But he sighed and shrugged his shoulders, eyes resting on Alvin as he was the first to speak. He wanted to be close to Chrono's children, these were the second pups to have lost their father while in his lands. He needed to make sure that they were safe and sound, well protected. He hoped that Esper felt the support as well, he didn't want to see her suffer because he could not offer a helping hand.

He paused when Allen pranced in, waiting to see if any others would show. After a few moments he cleared his throat to gather the attention of his pack. He loved seeing them all gather around his rock, he adored to see his pack all in one place. "Greetings members of Abaven. I called you here today to speak of our dire need of population control." He paused, eyes casting to all the woman who were with pups at the moment. "Our lands can only support so many of us, and I fear with these litters coming that our numbers will get too high. This is a hard season to be bringing pups in in, the prey is harsh and the cold even worse. So unfortunately, if any of you plan on having pups it will need to be cleared by me first." He made a face, he really hated this idea but it was all he could think about. If they got too full, the pack would start to grow hungry. "I know that this isn't the ideal thing, and trust me, I don't want to hear about all the details." He teased, trying to lighten the subject somewhat.

Clearing his throat again, he quickly pushed away from that topic. "That being said, we need to start training, and the pack needs to be fed. Darrah, I would like you to work with Esper's pups, show them a few moves that we have worked on, and possibly even take them hunting for small game. Of course, if that is okay with their mother." He said, gaze moving towards the dark female. He then looked over to Darrah, his smile wide. The boy was ready for more responsibility. "As for hunting, who can I count on to follow me after this meeting? There is a small herd of elk that is passing through the rapids. There is one hurt, twisted back leg it seems. This will be a good target for us, and an easy take down close to home. They are thin deer, not as fat as in the summer, but food is food." He wouldn't be above taking carrion either, if that was all that they could find. Looking around his gathered pack, he waited for the voiced to chip in.
