He'd decided to do that political thing where he went to other packs and scoped them out. Er, talked politics or whatever. Since he was already in the North it made sense to start with a northern pack. This one was mildly familiar to him, but only because of its longevity. Wasn't it ruled by some old horny geezer or something? Izarksis, or something like that? Gods, he needed to start paying more attention to his neighbors. Reaching the border, Valentine nosed at the unfamiliar scentmarkers. Hm. The dominant smell was feminine, not masculine. A new alpha, maybe? Maybe the old hump-happy bat had finally kicked it. Whatever, it mattered little to him who ran the pack now. He just wanted information. Tipping back his head, Valentine howled for the alpha. |
