Walk | Talk | Think

She hated this place. Though she had held no attachments to the Red Forest, a place that held vague memories for her somewhere within her past, Callisto was possibly just as irritated that they had had to move from the place as Lel had been. While she had still been surrounded by wolves that she would have rather poisoned in their sleep than actually spend time with, the location had been a lot more appealing. The unnatural state of the ship and its cold, frozen structure held absolutely no appeal for her, and the whole territory around it felt barren and useless. There was not enough green, not enough life, to appease her, and she found her naturally irritable mood made worse for it.

There seemed to always be a natural scowl etched upon her features, and today was no different. Her dark grey legs padded carefully through the snow, nearly disappearing entirely in places where it was less packed than she would have liked, as she traveled away from the frozen vessel, planning on walking as far inland as she could to get away from it. It was slow going through the snow at any normal time, but this time was anything but normal. Callisto was pregnant, carrying the unwanted spawn of the purple-eyed demon who had deemed it his prerogative to make her life a living Hell. If she had had it her way, she would have been rid of the little parasitic creatures and on her way back to Ebony already, but the beast had prevented any such escapes. He was smart - damn him - and until the demon spawn was out she was stuck.

But that in no way meant she needed to comply with everything the cruel, prideful monster told her. She was supposed to stay close to the grounded vessel, and yet here she was wandering away. Not far, of course, but enough to at least feel some sense of defiance. The blue-eyed wolf only wished she felt better otherwise. She felt like a bear. A very big, very wide bear. She was close to being rid of the things inside of her, but apparently not close enough. Her gait had changed to accommodate her widening middle, her usually active self feeling incredibly more lazy and sluggish. She wanted to eat everything that she could get her teeth into, had taken to finding even the revolting scent of mint oddly appealing. Everything was wrong with her, and until the little beasts were expelled she was going to have to suffer through.

Unsure where she was headed aside from the simple fact she wanted to get away from the ship, Callisto continued to awkwardly walk through the deep snow, muttering darkly below her breath colorful curses and deadly promises to the smug, aggravating source of all of her misfortune. "I hope you're happy, you asshole," she muttered to him though he was nowhere around to hear, too wrapped up in her own thoughts to give mind to the listening ears who might have been eavesdropping close by. His dratted brats from his sister tended to always poke their noses where she least wanted them to, and though she wished they would get stuck in the deep snow and stay there she doubted her piss poor luck could manage it. No, with the way things were going, they were going to find her before she got far enough away from the vessel to appease her incessant discomfort in being near it.
