The sweet angelic voice rising over the knolls brought the brute at the run. He couldn't believe it. She'd actually done it. They'd talked about a date, but part of him, the part that wished to keep his inner workings from harm, had just been joking. That's she'd actually done it (come to pick him, the alpha of Imperium, up for a date) astounded him. For once he was unsure of how to handle himself.

Nearing her (and still out of sight) the brute paused to collect himself. He took a deep breath and shook out his coat, psyching himself up for the battle ahead. Being with Rhythm was different than being with anyone else. He felt like he needed to be better, to do better. Not for her, but because she made him feel capable of it. When he was ready (well, as ready as he could be) he set off again at an easy pace.

Reaching Rhythm, Valentine grinned. "You're here," he stated warmly, "Welcome to Imperium."
