Walk | Talk | Think
She was still muttering obscenities to herself, keeping to the straight path that she had started herself on, when the purple-eyed wolf materialized through the snow in front of her, wearing his signature crazy grin, laughing his crazy laugh, and staring at her as if she was the most entertaining thing in the world. Instantly her grey legs stopped their forward progression, freezing within the snow, and her brow furrowed above her silvery blue eyes. Where the hell had he come from? She had seen nothing of him on her walk this way, had supposed him to still be somewhere beside his new ship with the rest of his brood, but somehow she had been wrong.
Hormones did nothing to soothe the frustrations she felt at the sight of him, her ears pinning as a sneer wrinkled across her nose. "Away from your damn ship. Where does it look like I'm going?" she retorted venomously, feeling combative enough to engage in an exchange of words with him so long as she had the brats still growing inside of her to use as leverage. Callisto knew it would only stop him for so long, but she was going to dance upon the line for as long as she could. "What, you thought I was running away? Like this?" she questioned, turning her head to glance at her large belly that carried her unwanted pups. She felt sick just thinking about them. They're your demon spawn, not mine.
To make matters worse, another little miniature Lel decided to peek in nearby, the boy she realized as his sister sported a coloration more similar to her mother. Just having him near made her skin crawl, the idea that at some point in the very near future she would have little brats like those to care for only adding to her irritation. "Afraid you couldn't drag me back on your own?" Her taunt was paired with a careful lift of a single brow over her bright eyes, everything about her speaking to the fact she was not in a mood to comply. Call it the hormones or her natural dislike of the wolf coming through in full, but Callisto simply did not feel like being cooperative today.
