Returning Home {Roman}

Her head hurt, her paws hurt, and like insult to injury she was the size of a whale. How many pups was she carrying? Fifty?! She lay outside her den, Drashiel had been doing wonders in keeping border patrols fresh, and in the evenings when she didn't feel like walking would cause her body to implode- she'd also patrol and lay her scent. At the moment though, she lay there on the cold ground, her front paws dug into the icy banks, hoping that would relieve some of the swelling. She was enjoying her moment of peace, which of course didn't last too long these days. A call for her rang through the forest, and Roman lifted her head in slight confusion. It wasn't a voice she recognized- but they were in her forest. The voice was distinctively feminine. With an annoyed grumble, she'd drag herself up to her feet, shaking off the loose snow that clung to her body. Wincing she took a step forward- apparently the ice did little to help her sore feet. 

As she walked her swollen belly swayed, which slowed her down because she'd randomly pause to turn and stare at it. Gods- she didn't remember being this fat when she was pregnant with Faust's children. Was she giving them whiplash in there by moving so much?! Gods- would this movement make them ugly? It didn't take her long to reach the source of the call- which was near Athena's den. As Roman approached, she noted a wolf that had a stunning resemblance to another she-wolf she knew, but as she drew closer- she knew instinctively it wasn't her friend. This must be Amalia- Athena's lover. Roman slowed to a halt, a pleasant- yet slightly pained expression on her face as she stared at the girl. She sank back onto her haunches, shaking her front paws slightly with a wince. "You must be Amalia. I've heard a lot about you. It's nice to meet you face to face- I'm Roman." She said, her tone soft. She cocked her head slightly to the left, and shook her foot again.
