Kass ignored what was going on around him, instead gently pressing his muzzle against Ada's throat, counting the beats. Pulse was weak, but not terribly so. Her skin was hot to the touch even through the fur, and the breathing sounds weren't good, but there wasn't all bad news. He knew what was wrong. Lifting his head he focused on Solas. "The valerian root is for you - swallow it. You can't help your sister the way you are right now and she doesn't need any added stress. She's not going to die."
He blinked when he finally realized that Maximous had come up while he'd been occupied. "You look terrible," he said unthinkingly. It was true, the Ebony healer looked nearly as bad as Ada did. How had so many of his wolves gotten so worn down and ill without him even realizing it? Some alpha he was. He'd have to talk to Maximous later... "I could use some mullein and hyssop," he said tentatively, surprised that the experienced healer was allowing him to take lead on it.
Clearing his throat he glanced back down at Ada. "You have pneumonia," he told her, his voice kept at a calm, soothing tone. He nudged forward the boneset, Echinacea and elderberries, carefully separating out the proper dosages of each. "Eat these, they'll be a start. Then we can get you to a den and out of the weather and start treating it, ok? We'll get you better" |
