let it snow let it snow let it snow

She was right, he did in fact love helping her. He had started off a bit strong, guiding her most of the time on their adventures but as they had begun to grow together had had come to quickly realize that she didn't need him to do that so he had backed off without being asked. She had never said anything to him, he had simply come to realize that she was probably just fine, especially in pack territory that she had come to know so well. He had helped a bit when they had first moved to Ebony but soon enough she had been fine on her own. With the snow… It wasn't their first snowfall but it might as well have been. The territory here was more snow riddled then his old home or Olympus and not as well walked. Damn in Covari there had barely ever been untouched snow with all the wolves that had walked through there. But here… It was beautiful. Every so often he walked into a snow drift and sank to his neck but that was no big deal. He had taken it upon himself to break trail for Gaia as of late as well and to hunt more. She hadn't asked again, he had simply started.
She had found this place, he really didn't know how but he had come to love it even more then the den they usually slept in together. The ground was still almost bare of snow and around the limbs of the tree the snow had collected in a well of sorts to create a wall between them and the world as well as a thankful wind break. It was warm here, despite the fact that the snow itself was cold it provided surprising insulating qualities. Today they had come here again, Solo lounging on his side languidly with Gaia curled into his side. She was awake, he could tell that much from her breathing but she was relaxed enough that she might be dozing. He would remain silent for a time until she shifted, nuzzling closer him him and easily his tail would lift and drop over her hips. "Hey Gaia? What should I call you?" He mused, still looking out at the wall of snow that surrounded them. "I mean… We have been in an 'arranged' marriage for how long now? But with everything we never made anything official… Can I call you my wife?" He would ask, turning bi coloured eyes down to look at her even if she couldn't see his puzzled look.
