He couldn't deny how cute and perfect she was, except for the fact that she had not been born to his mate, the woman he had pledged his life to. He didn't have any idea what he was going to do, but he did know that he had a responsibility owed to this child to be in her life. To care for her and protect her at all costs. Why was it Motif's womb that brought her into existence and not Gwena's? Surely nature mixed up which she wolf was which, he knew Motif had not been in season. Experiencing Gwena's was enough to make him sure of that. So why was it not Gwena?
He'd try not to think so deeply upon the situation, if he didn't think too much everything would work out in the end. He would sigh softly to himself as Shaye dropped his paw back to the earth. He would watch her freeze and her demeanor suddenly change, she was looking at something behind him. His features would swivel around only to find himself looking at the woman he knew he'd hurt the most, and continued to do so. Shaye would be a constant reminder of his frivolous decision, of what he'd done to break her heart. White backed ears would fall to his head, he would do his best to remedy the situation, but there wasn't much he could explain or apologize about his child. "Gwena," His voice was barely more than a whisper as he looked back at her, "This is Shaye." He would introduce his offspring softly, not knowing what else to do.
