Mercifully she's make no comment about his pride. "Sledding was a wonderful idea," he said, disagreeing with her statement. "A wonderful idea marred by your choice of date." Rhythm's ride down the slope had indeed made it seem like a fabulous idea. She'd made it look effortless, and maybe with the right tools it was, or maybe, just maybe, he was truly just that graceless. "Nah," he said in response to her healer comment. The last thing he wanted was someone else knowing about his tumble. "I'm fine." To prove his point, Valentine climbed to his paws. He was a bit achy, but nothing felt too terribly wounded. All he needed to do was suck it up and shake it off. Maybe walk around a bit or something. Quirking a brow at her, he joked, "How about round two?" |
