He would turn, his pale ears immediately falling back against his skull. Her name spilled from his lips in a soft whisper. Then the name of his child. Shaye. The child was a full of excitement, a giggle spilling from her lips. Then strange words. Shaye love. It was evident that the child was trying to communicate with her in whatever strange tongue she spoke. Her gaze would lift from the child to find Shais. "You have a child. With her." She stated the obvious. Though her words were surprisingly chilly. This child would be a constant reminder. Sooty audits fell back against her skull as her eyes narrowed fractionally. Pain constricted her chest and spread through her veins. Her own womb was empty still. She remained still, not once taking a step towards him nor away from him. Her body seemed incapable of moving, shocked into a complete stand still. The slow burn of anger found its way into her belly. But she could do nothing. Nothing but stand and stare, still unable to believe her own eyes.
