Things at home had been busy. New Alphas. New ranks. New chances. She had hoped that she would be given a spot amongst the ranks. In less than a week she would be a year old. An adult. She was excited. But with that she knew her mother was growing older, she going to be 8, it was becoming clear to the young wolf that she was slowing down. Part of her worried for her mother. But only time would tell how things worked out. She had left Tortuga again for the time being, venturing out to explore new lands. Today the land that she stood on was barren. It was almost as though you could see for miles. Paws lightly caressed the hard ground, barely making any noise as she prowled forward. Recently rains left puddles here and there that she occassionally stopped to drink at. She would be returning home soon. She tried not to linger out of the pack territory for too long, else her mother would worry.

Soon she found herself in the company of another. His back was to her, head bent down as he stared at a puddle. His pelt was made up of golds and auburns, odd markings covering his frame that was visible to her. Emerald jewels assessed him quietly, gait stilling. Ringed tail swayed gently, licking at her heels. There was a brief moment of silence before she spoke. "Like what you see?" Tones where spoken sweetly, but her expression quietly mocked him. She sauntered forward, moving closer to him, her chin tucking slightly in case the brute decided to try anything. A smirk lifted part of her features. Getting a better look, it was clear that he wasn't much older than her, so what was he doing out here by himself? Surely he had a home or family.

She rounded his side in a wide circle. Ears pushed forward expectantly, eyes bright, brow lifted slightly. Perhaps she could befriend him. She didn't have many friends, if any, besides her brothers, but she didn't think that should count. Maybe he'd join Tortuga if he didn't have a home?
