She pressed on, long legs propelling her quickly over the earth. In seconds the sounds of pursuit reached her ears and the behemoth she'd nearly run into was running apace with her. He was quick with a question and were it not for the breaths her lungs demanded of her to keep her in motion, Warja would have answered him immediately. Instead her lungs burned as she gulped for air, dragging in long drafts in the hopes of quelling the fire. Beneath her, her paws were a blur.
