Who Deserves What Now?

It wasn't too late out, but it was awfully dark. The boy wasn't too far from his old den but he paid no mind to such things. He often slept away from the others, his brothers growing with him and taking up more space. He didn't like that sissy stuff anyway. He hadn't left the lands of Abaven since he had seen that man, August. And he missed having that much freedom around him. He didn't see the danger of the world outside, and he probably never would. Backing down wasn't really his thing. He was able to escape Darrah's den but didn't really want to go as far as the rapids. Instead of even just laying down and hiding in the frosting grass, he took a walk rather in a large circle around the plains. It was either too early to go to sleep or he went to sleep too early... He couldn't tell. But staying asleep wasn't an issue for him after what he had been through. |
