And so it had come down to this; a battle. Demonio had expected nothing less from his wife, taking into consideration the past that she had come from. It was more than fitting that the pack prove itself through battles within. She couldn't just hand ranks out willy nilly. Not when she was striving for change. She had to make sure that those appointed were trustworthy and would follow her command, regardless if it went against their beliefs or wants. His queen had wasted no time once all the wolves had gathered at her call, announcing the start of the tournament. She paired up the challengers and sent them on their way. Demonio had presented his wife with a small kiss before leaving to find a suitable place to begin his battle with the one named Kylar.


And so here he was now, in an open clearing, not far from his den, the stream that ran in front of his den cutting through this clearing. He stood to one side of it, knowing that on the opposite side of stream would be his opponent Kylar. This brute would be the first the ivory knight would meet since having met Kaien. In all honesty this wasn't the way he wanted to get to know his packmates, but under the circumstances it was what had to happen. Since being at Desdemona's side as her alpha wasn't an option, then he was going to take the next best thing; Beta. Ivory crown was thrust towards the darkening heavens, a challenging summon bursting through from his vocals, calling out to the one named Kylar. He allowed the call to boom for several moments before cutting it off, listening as his voice echoed above the treetops. He held no ill will towards the brute he was to fight, but neither did he hold compassion. His opponent was a stranger and despite being his packmate, Demonio owed him nothing. The alabaster drake waited with quiet patience for his opponent to arrive and state their terms. It had been a while since he had fought, but his body had never forgotten.
