Flinging herself in the direction of her brother, Siri raced towards the boy with the intention of jumping over his rump and landing splay-legged on his back. From there she'd kick and claw her way up to his neck, where she'd hopefully wrap her forepaws around the base. There were many what ifs to her plan of attack, but the final one was the simplest: if she was successful in jumping on his back and if she was successful in crawling up his back and if she was successful in wrapping her paws around his neck, Sirius would then lean forward and chew maliciously on Atreides' ears.
