He was lethargic in his movements, holding himself with the demeanour of a slave boy rather then that of the prince he had been born to be. Awoken from his slumber far too early for him to enjoy their outing the child would slink and slither behind the feminine members of his family. Eyes were slack, dead as his nose hung low and trailed just above the ground. Tail would drift like a banner at half mast behind him as dual coloured eyes took in the very opposite demeanours of both his mother and littermate. He would not attempt to surpass them, to frolic and explore like other child his own age might but instead would march along in line like the good little pawn he intended to be. Despite slackened and almost empty gaze the boy was watching, allowing senses to roam beyond their immediate vicinity in an attempt to figure out where it was that their mother was taking them exactly. It was some time before the silver queen would halt just on the outskirts of a forest, fog curling along the edges as if held in by a force field. Eyes would move from their fixation to his mother as she spoke a warning. Monsters… Dahlia of course would boast the ability to eat them but Aster would remain silent, slowly slipping behind his sister to position himself in between his mother and sister. He would protect them...
