Fields of green stretched out endlessly before her, caressing the rolling hills and swaying gently in the spring rain. Dark clouds rolled over head but there was little wind and only the occasional roll of thunder or flash of lightning. A peaceful morning. However, Dægmar was in an ill mood. Her body was sore and swollen and she felt nauseous. Surely these kids would pop out some time soon. Her encounter with Aksel was stirring softly in her mind and she wondered if she'd really be up to raising these kids, even as warriors could she really do this? Might as well try… Dægmar's eyes began to droop lazily and she drifted off to sleep for a moment before the deafening air of silence caused her to stir. The rain had stopped and the air felt heavy. No birds though… odd… was there some greater storm on the way? Curious Dægmar climbed out of her den and strolled out to find a good clearing from which to view the sky. |
