He was relaxing, enjoying the simplicity of hanging out outside the den when his mother would depart without a word. For a time he would watch her leave, staring after her even long past when her form had disappeared from view but still he would remain silent. He did not turn to his sister to ask her opinion nor his father instead he would simply watch, ever attentive and ever calculating. He had grown much in the spring, the once pudgy puppy slowly beginning to come into his own. His once long and gangly limbs were stronger now, more thanks to practice then thanks to training of any sort, and he was able to keep up better rather then tottering around like a newborn fawn. But still he prefered laying, keeping his body closer to the ground so he was more at his sister's eye height. But as his dad barked at his sister and him, a command to follow, the giant of a child would slowly unfurl his long limbs and pick himself up. Already his head was at his father's shoulder but much like his father he prefered to carry his head down, eyes sweeping his surroundings as bi colored eyes locked Viola in his gaze. "Think mom will have us fight the other kids?" Aster would ask, for once emotion sweeping across his features as glee split his lips in a wolffish grin. He wanted to fight, just not with his sister or mother. He wanted to protect them not hurt them. They would arrive to find their mother alone and slowly he would slip up beside her before dropping to the ground, laying his with hips balanced beneath him so it would be easy to spring up if needed but it kept him lower then his parents.
