Don't You Worry

The silence was nice. It wasn't often that he was able to just sit here and not have the adult bug him with never ending questions, battering him about not being normal and having to have fun like other kids. Fun? What the hell was fun anyways! He was only a season old for goodness sakes and what did he have to show for it? Nothing. His parents hadn't told him about Arcanum or what happened there, nor did it really ever cross his young mind that they once belonged somewhere. Colten didn't often tell him stories, just got annoyed with how bothersome Cohen could be. So he didn't stick around them, that's all. Why be around people that don't care about you? But for the black and white spotting man... well he didn't know too much about Amarant, other that he was Uncle Ammy and he liked to play. Good for him, cause Cohen didn't. His ears flickered and he sighed when he heard the man stir, knowing that he was coming over. Crap... well hopefully he didn't ta-- Dammit he did. A question was tossed at him, and slowly the boy turned his stony face towards him. "I'm not in the den long enough to get tired of it." He said bluntly, giving another shrug of his shoulders. He really acted like an angst teen more than a pup.
Cohen turned his face back to the horizon, eyes blinking slowly as he looked at nothing at all. There was so much out there, but he didn't really care to go anywhere. Here was good, cause it was right here and required no moving at all. It wasn't that Cohen was lazy... he just lacked motivation. Probably had about zero motivation to give. Short tail thumped on the earth as he just laid there, not even paying attention to the adult beside him.
