Pestilence or prosper?

The adrenaline from the fight was quickly wearing off. The wounds weren't terrible, but that didn't make them hurt any less. It was in his best interest to get them looked at, but before he did he needed to ditch the kids. He'd left the parents to sort themselves and sour in their failures, but had taken the children with him. Their evaluation would come later, but they seemed to be in good shape despite the uselessness of their mother.

Pausing in his journey, he woofed to alert Cascade to his presence. She managed their three on her own most of the time, so what was three more, right?
