Though he wasn't surprised at being accepted without much trial, he was pleased it had went so well. Valentine accepted them immediately, lapsing into verse about their ranks. Kyarst was pleased with the idea of being tasked as a guard, and found himself nodding only a moment after the words had left Valentine's lips. Though he was a talented hunter, he found the idea of being responsible for the safety of Imperium to be rather exciting. Valentine went on to explain that rising in the ranks was possible and encouraged. Kyarst felt himself nodding once more. “Thank you, Valentine. I will gladly serve as a Praesidio.” He couldn't, and wouldn't speak for Lysis on that part, but he imagined she would rather be a guard than a hunter. They were both physically inclined and leaned toward fighting whenever possible. To this day he could still fondly recall their first spar and how thrilling it had been. That had been some time ago, and Kyarst found himself wondering if she might be his next sparring partner once the grieving period had come and gone. Jaws fell apart as he decided to inquire one final thing from his new Imperator. “Is there anything else we should be aware of? I can't say either of us is too familiar with the inner workings of Imperium.” He certainly didn't want to make waves the very day he joined his new home.
