Her eyes were shining so bright -- they were beautiful. The boy tried not to have thoughts like that -- they were strange. Yet still he found himself happy, his tail wagging behind him. It was nice, to be able to play like this with another his age. He wasn’t judged because of his deformity. He wasn’t told that he was worthless, that his leg would make it hard for him to do anything with her. No... She seemed to enjoy herself too. She had only ever played with her siblings...
