There was no delay in the male's response - a fact Rune was glad to note - and there were no unnecessary pleasantries added to drag things out. The blue wolf kept things simple, either through his own preference or because he had already picked up on the Guardian's, and went straight into explaining himself as Secretua's newest neighbor. Rune watched the wolf through his critical, narrowed stare, trying to get a gauge on the character of his neighbor as he explained his situation. He and his family were going to share borders with the current pack of this southern area, and his hope was that they could live peacefully together. In theory, it sounded like a long shot, especially considering Secretua's penchant for being isolated and self-contained.
But there might have been something there. They intended to form a pack, to make their residency there in the south more permanent, and it immediately brought to mind Rune's own plans. For a while now he had been trying to get his pack stable enough for him to leave it for periods at a time on diplomatic missions to visit his neighbors, to understand what they were like even if he did not offer any sort of alliance or friendship between their packs. He merely wanted to understand what else was out there in order to keep his family safer. And now one of those potential neighbors had wandered right up to his doorstep in order to do the same.
He was not one for visitors of any kind - except for his nephews, but they were still honorary pack members in his eyes - but for once he was not irked but intrigued. Just another family group who wanted to keep to themselves? That sounded livable. "I have no problems with this," he informed Glacier simply, nodding his head once with finality, "so long as you bring no harm to my family and pack." There might have been a subtle threat within his words, but it could hardly be helped. He was protective of those he considered his. "If and when you do become a pack, I would like to pay you a visit to speak further," he said, more as a request than a statement. If this wolf intended to lead, then it was probably the proper thing that he did not demand things of him. And because he had failed to provide it thus far, he added, "I am Rune Kaname, Guardian of Secretua."
