Excuse me, Mr Alpha?

She giggled and looked up at him, and he couldn't help but smile sweetly back at her. When she spat out that she had been going to see Rhythm, he eyed her and nodded slowly. "I know," he said, giving her a look to let her know that. He had seen her slip out before, and an alpha always held tabs on their wolves. He froze when she spoke next though, saying that he should allow her back. His lip twitched, but he didn't dare show his teeth to the young one. "No." It was all he said as first, fixing her with a hard stare. He knew that she was young, but they all needed to know at some point that they couldn't always get their way. "You're lucky enough that I haven't told your mother that you have been sneaking out. Do you know that your Aunty Rhythm hurt us very badly? And she made her own choice, so I made certain that she had to stick by it. This is a matter that you do not understand." Sighing, his head hung slightly, gaze softening as he eyed Shaye. "If you saw your daddy fight for you, to keep you safe, would you go away with them anyways? And chose to stay with the people who tried to take you away? After all that time watching your father put his neck out there for you, would you just walk away?" It was a hard thing to think about, but perhaps she could see why Bass had made the decision that he did.
