The little girl shuffled uncomfortably as Bass told her that he knew. She had tried to be careful about her.. umm.. adventures (she refused to use the word 'sneaking') but of curse she shuld have expected that the Alpha of this pack knew about her travels across his border. He didn't sound mada about that, but with her next hesitant, nervous words he would freeze, one word pushed angrily form his lips. 'no' he told her, and she shivered at the finality of it, and the hard stare that followed.
He would mention Motif, and the little girl shivered, imagining her mothers displeasure. She felt something flare in her at the mention of it being something she didn't understand. He didn't have to talk to her like she was a little kid! She was trying to talk to him here like an adult, like she had done with Rhythm, and Rhythm had treated her like an adult when she answered her questions.
Bass sighed, and still talking to her like she was a tiny child that didn't understand the world (and well this might be true, Shaye didn't yet know that she didn't know ) he would try to explain the situation further. She twitched at the explanation Bass gave, but didn't exactly think it was a fair one. But she had already had a long talk with Rhythm, and she thought she had an idea of both sides of the coin, and taking a breath, she would try to explain it. “I think I understand why you where mad, you fought really hard for her but the not so nice man still took Rhythm away and then when Valentine asked her to stay she agreed. Your mad that you fought for and she made it not important, but I dont think she made it not important, its just that other important things happened at the same time. You love Wren very much, if she was in a different pack to you and Motif wanted her to come live with you and she fought for her and she came here and well you where going to return Wren to where she lived, but somehow it just poped out that you asked her to stay and she agreed, you can understand that the other pack might be mad but you wouldn't want that to make Wren go away right? If it meant she could and wanted to live with you you would still want her to even if all the things that happened where all in the wrong order and it shouldn't have been like that. So it all went bad, but, and Rhythm was going to come home, but when Valentine asked her and she loved him she couldn't say no”
it was a very long sentence, and she even confused herself a little trying to get it out, and she hung her head low at the end of it, her tail twitching uncomfortably behind her, she had no idea how Bass was going to take her words. More quietly, she added one more thing. “Its really lonely here without Rhythm. I miss her, and just want her to come home.”
