Away with the wind

Walk | Talk | Think Not for the first time, Gale was glad of the wind. The heat here along the beach of near unbearable, made worse by the dark color of the sands and their penchant for drawing in all the heat it possibly could. She had taken to lounging on the rocks that littered the place, spots of brightness within the expansive dark shoreline, and found she could keep relatively cool on them so long as the winds were blowing. And they were, thankfully, rustling her lavender and grey coat and tangling it in places. A few tangles were a small price to pay for comfort though, and she sighed as she sprawled out further across the top of the rock, her eyes closed restfully. Yep, thank goodness for the wind. Her side had heated enough to the point where she was ready to roll, to offer the other in an attempt not to only heat one side of herself, and as she did move she spotted her dark coated brother racing along the beach. Gale rolled to her stomach, eyeing him in a moment of confusion. What in the world was he running about like that for? Especially in this heat! "Hey Tiny!" Her voice was raised to reach him even as he ran, intent upon stopping whatever it was that he was doing when he should have been hiding out somewhere in the shade or at least not overexerting himself in this sort of warm weather. |
