He followed the young voice to its source. Shaye sat just outside Imperium's border staring in. As he approached, Valentine's browspots lifted in a silent question. He'd told her she was welcome to come and go without seeing him so long as she announced herself, but her call had been clear. She wanted to see him. Stopping before the small girl, the brute queried, "Can I help you, Miss Shaye?" He remained standing, his tail hanging behind him and his posture relaxed. The girl was a cute little thing and her spunk made him think she'd get along with his kids. Well, some of them. There was one in particular who he was fairly certain would pitch a fit over having her space invaded yet again. |
