PACK RANKS
– Ferax (Fair-axe) (2) – There Ferax are the guides of the pack that are chosen because they work the best together.. They stand more to lead than to rule, and their entire role is to ensure the pack and family’s safety, well being and happiness. They are to work to the best of their abilities to ensure everyone is in their correct position and rank, and to work with all the Prae ranks to organize games, events and contests in order to keep moral up and keep family ties tight. Each of the Ferax may choose a specialty they focus on in their time as the pack’s guide, whether its as a watcher, the nurturer, or the warrior type. But all in all, they live for family.
– Peres (Pair-ees) (1) – A child chosen from the Filli who appear best to guide the pack in the future, or normally the first born of the family. It could be an alpha child or not. They will be trained in all aspects of the pack life, from fighting to healing to gathering so that they have a well rounded knowledge. Their love for family and desire to hold it together is a must for this child, and a strong desire to work and coexist with the Secres.. They are the one who the pack gets handed to first, with the notion that the Secres would be promoted to stand at its side as coalpha
– Secres (sec-rees) (1) - A child chosen from the Filli who appear best to guide the pack in the future, or normally the second born of the family. It could be an alpha child or not. They will be trained in all aspects of the pack life, from fighting to healing to gathering so that they have a well rounded knowledge. Their love for family and desire to hold it together is a must for this child, and a strong desire to work and coexist with the Peres.. They are the one who the pack gets handed to second if the Peres cannot, or to be promoted beside the Peres to lead the pack as a pair.
– Emonoe (Ee-mohn-oh-ee) (1) - Emonoe holds the secondary rank to the Ferax. They are the advisors, the councillors to not only the Ferax but to the pack itself. They have proven to be a sound mind, an avid thinker, and levelheaded with emotion. They not only advise the Ferax on political aspects, if need be, but also they are there for the family. If anyone has an issue they may go to the Emonoe. They are also in charge of ensure contests, activities, and challenges happen when they need to, and make sure pack moral is up and family ties are tight. All action plans the Prae ranks create go through the Emonoe so that they may ensure there are no holes or inconsistencies.
– Dulus (Do-luss) (1) - The Dulus is our wolf in a crisis. This rank is meant to be empty at all times, except for in a crisis situation, such as a seige, plague, drought, flood, or famine. Any of the Prae ranks and the Aqaleus may be promoted to the Dulus rank in times of trouble, and their power equals the Ferax, to try to work together in order to overcome a crisis. They implement their action plans, and help the pack and family back to a safe and secure environment. They have the power to shuffle wolves around in times of crisis, but once it has been deemed safe and clear, the Ferax will return them to their suitable rank.
– PraeTeniuem (Pray-Ten-you-em) (1) - They are the first defense to the safety of the pack. They are in charge not only of training, ensuring the Teniuem are up to snuff, but also in making sure the territory is safe (including the water border, with help from the Aqaelus) and action plans for sieges, wars, and challenges in place. It is their duty to ensure the children, and adults of the pack all get basic (or advanced, if chosen) defense and battle techniques. They are also required to host strong-man competitions, tournaments, strength games, or coordinate with the other Prae’s to keep morality up.

They are the ones to deligate gathering of herb supplies between their Tarna and Vilendis to ensure they have enough of everything at all times. They must ensure there is an action plan for pregnancies, diseases, and what to do during a plague esc outcome. They also are incharge of ensuring the Filli, Familia, Noti and especially Heir are trained in basic (or advanced if chosen) healing techniques. They must also coordinate any chase or gathering games, or assist other Prae’s in their activities to ensure morality is high and the family stays strong.
– Relicus (Rel-ih-cuss) (3) - The Relicus are a very precious rank within the pack. They are wolves that have proven to have a connection to Nature and their elements moreso than the rest of the pack, on a level that can be deemed as spiritual. They are there for any questions a wolf may have when coming to terms with their element, or understanding the mysteries of their family. Because of their connection to the universe, and their spiritual element, they are often the chosen ones to name newborns, to ensure their element and their name are correct. They also teach new Elementas the history of the family, and teach them about their rank and their family.
– Aqaelus (Ack-aye-luss) (1) - With the ocean directly on our doorsteps, the aqaelus is the first line of defense. They are required to ensure that swimming wolves are not pulled down by the tides, create an action plan should the territory ever get flooded, create water-based games to keep up moral, teach swimming, work with the PraeTeniuem to ensure the water border remains safe from attack or trespass, and all around be an awesome water nymphe.
– Aertus (Air-tuss) (2) - The Aertus is a messenger of the pack. They have feet as silent and quick as the wind, and agility to match. It is their job to take messages to other packs, return messages to the Ferax, Emonoe or Prae ranks. They are also in charge of scouting, understanding and finding possible immediate threats to the family. They must be trained heavily on defensive to ensure their safety out in the field, especially on scouting missions. Their job is not to find weaknesses in other packs, as well as our own, or search for ways to attack, no, their only mission is to help ensure the safety of Donostrea.
– Spirides (Spear-ih-deez) (1) - The Spirides is the wolf who is in charge of all the Filli, Peres and Secres. They are to help any pregnant or new mothers with their children, and watch them. It is their duty to coordinate training with the Prae and report any skill findings they may have watching the children to the trainers. They are also skilled in story telling to entertain the children, and trained in advanced healing to help pregnant mothers or unwell children. They are kind hearted wolves, and have a strong family connection to help assist in their job.
– Teniuem (Ten-you-em) (∞) - Teniuem are the warriors of the pack. They work directly with the PraeTeniuem to ensure the safety of their family and pack. They also assist in any extra defense and offense training and guard the borders. Wolves of this rank have an extreme sense of loyalty to the pack and want to defend them. Or, of course, they just like to fight.
– Tarna (Tar-nah) (∞) - Tarna are the healers of the pack. They work directly with the PraeTarna and the PraeVilendis to coordinate and stock any herb stores they keep. They are trained in advanced healing to help any pack member required. Anyone with a desire to help or heal can find themselves with this job.
– Vilendis (Vill-en-dis) (∞) - The Vilendis are the gatherers and the hunters of the pack. They work directly with the PraeTarna and Tarna to replenish herb stores, and also work with the PraeVilendis to coordinate hunts. Anyone with a sense of adventure, perhaps a little prey bloodlust, can find themselves with his job.
– Familia (Fam-ill-ee-ah) (∞) - Family is blood, Family is life. Familia is any unsorted Elementas. Anyone with a blood relation to any member of the Elementas family would be placed here. Their job is to learn, to earn a place in the ranks, and to be great.
– Noti (No-tee) (∞) - Friends and other wolves that have not earned their ranks yet. These can be mates, close friends, any member that has been accepted into Donostrea that do not have a rank yet. They are required to learn where they belong and earn their rank, just like anyone else. This rank is not easy to get, due to the family orientated pack rarely opening its doors to outsiders but friends, loved ones and sometimes people in need may find their place in the pack
– Filli (Fill-ee) (∞) - The children of the pack! They are to be cute. Well, that and try and figure out what their skills are, and work towards mastering those skills to earn their future ranks.
– Maior (My-or) (∞) - The elderly of the pack. Anyone 10 years or older. They are wise members of the pack (hopefully) and are often a means of advisement. They are to be respected and taken care of.
– Terito (Tare-ee-toh) (∞) - The ones that are away. They still belong to the pack, but they are off traveling for whatever reason. The ones who are missed but destined to return, so that they may take their place in the pack once more. |
