knock knock! (SIEGE)

Aern's keen eyes watched Sigmarr's every motion as she neared.  He shifted to his own right her shoulder throw missed the male entirely and mild bruising blossomed across the center of her left-sided chest as it collided with his left-sided chest.  Her fangs missed their intended mark, instead tearing moderate wounds into the left side of his face near the base of his left ear and far corner of his left eye.  She failed to get a grip, partly do to his right ward movement and partly to her own movement.  As soon as her shoulder throw failed and her right paw landed on firm ground after missing that target as well Aerndís attempted to recoil and shuffle back several inches and to her own right a few inches as she saw his stance lower, knowing he'd be going for her throat or lower jaw, both areas of her body she needed to protect.  Sacrificing a grip to do so was well worth it.  His shoulder throw collided with the center of her upper chest, just missing her trachea as she reared slightly to push herself back and away, moderate bruising blossoming in the area.

Aern's movement caused also caused his fangs to miss a grip on her upper throat and instead tear moderately into the flesh on her upper left neck just below the corner of her left-sided jaw, drawing blood but failing to get a grip on her.  Her right and back motion also caused Sigmarr's other attacks to fall in unintended places, his paw stomp missing entirely, especially as it was unlikely he could see the target with his head tilted as it was.

Unbeknownst to her this back and right recoil also displaced the attacks of Sindri, as the small fae assaulted her.  The femme's shoulder throw missed her knee and instead grazed the underside of her gut (thanks to her vastly great height) just behind the ribs, causing mild bruising and Aern's gut to roll.  The claws of Sindri's left forepaw grazed the toes of Aern's left hindpaw as she attempted to shuffle back leaving mild bruising and superficial cuts.  It was harder for her to escape the girls jaws however.  The shift right had prevented her from backing her left hindleg into Sindri's jaws but she did not move far enough to stop the jaws from snapping shut on the outside of her left hind leg, tearing moderate lacerations on the outside of the leg just below her knee.  Dammit all!  As this battle wore on she knew she'd sustain heavy damage, especially if the two worked to pin her.  Thankfully she'd avoided the girl getting a full grip on the limb.

Aern's defenses held fast.  Skull aligned with her spine, chin tucked and neck scrunched back with shoulders rolled forward.  Hackles were raised, legs equidistant apart and bent to lower her center of gravity as well as evenly distribute her weight.  Toes were splayed, claws dug into the earth.  Jaws were parted in preparation for her next attack, eyes narrowed and ears pinned tight to her head.  Abdomen tensed and her tail tucked between her legs, resting flush against her belly for extra protection.  It was worth the sacrifice to her movement with the small wolf so close to her guts.  

Aerndís attempte to rotate her upper body to her own left to bring herself parallel with the younger woman so that her left side was against the girls left side with them facing opposite directions and to bring her hind legs and underbelly a bit farther out of the others reach. As she moved Aern attempted to shift her weight back to her hind legs which spread farther to accomodate her weight.  She didn't plan to be up long as she tried to twist her upper body farther to her own left to throw her left foreleg over Sindri's back, halfway between her shoulders and hips.  She wanted to force the girl to bear her weight and limit Sindri's ability to retaliate as well as hopefully force her to the ground.

Aern also attempted to lift her right foreleg with the intent of bringing her right forepaw down onto Sindri's left hind paw, intending to fracture the small girls toes with her massive weight.   As she tried to twist her upper body farther to her own left her neck attempted to twist to her own left as well, parted jaws seeking the girls spine just in front of the hips where there was less protection for the spine.  She wanted to get a powerful grip from where she could shred the muscle and apply pressure to the spine perhaps with enough force to cause some of the vertebrae to fracture
