It came as no surprise that Bass turned on her rather angrily. He would question her respect for him, though he sounded weary rather than mad at her. When questioned his sons language, she would once again turn to her, snarling angrily. She would listen as he spoke, though she couldnt bring herself to care. After all, he had betrayed her. He extended the invitation for her stay, but only if she was interested in joining. A scoff would roll off her tongue as she rose to her paws, not bothering to stand dominantly over him. No, instead she would seek to take a step closer. ”Don’t you dare talk to me about respect. When you, my friend sent warriors to my door to try and bring me down.” Her voice was low, a mere whisper. Though soft words dripped with toxicity that dared him to question. Anger, hurt and indescribable rage bled into her tones, along with the promise of retribution.

She had been to far to hear the sound of war, but Kylar had found her, and explained what was going on. She had first demanded to know why he was not there helping defend their children. But it had been to no avail. Her children had been attacked, even her little Aster. Rage had spread like fire through her veins. And when Kylar had mentioned Abaven standing at her borders with this Ebony king, betrayal flooded her. She knew the sort of pack that Abaven was, but she had never expected that Bass, her friend would aid in bring her down. ”So it is you who treads on very thin ice.” She would throw his words back in his face before leaning back, her look seeming to be cool and collected, though her eyes burned with a newfound hatred. He would never be able to fix the damage he had done. He would never be able to change the fact that he had made her a permanent enemy.

Perhaps things could have been different. But he reacted with such hostility, and though his paws were clean. Her children would possibly severely injured because of him, because of his help. The rage that grew in her chest caused her to tremble ever so slightly, eyes burning into his soul. ”My childrens injuries are on your paws.” She would still not raise her voice even as she spit her words at him. Whether or not she actually believed that, she couldnt decided. She knew exactly who to go after for this crime, but her own friend, he was held to an entirely different standard. ”I will see you later.”She promised, plastering a sickeningly sweet smile on her face before turning away from him, weaving a path through the growing crowd and finally heading home. And by now he should know that she never made an empty promise, even unspoken promises.
