Do The Tables Turn?

He hadn't raised any objections when Hati had abruptly announced that they were going to go out on some manly expedition to some forest somewhere. What would be the point of objecting? He'd simply get in trouble and be forced to go along anyway. Besides, it had sparked interest in him, his first venture outside of pack boundaries. He held back from any complaining on the long, long trip, too, though it was exhausting and painful. It would make him stronger, and better than anyone else his age. Had Angelus gotten his father to bring him so far out of pack lands at this age? Doubtful. Still, he was tired, and his feet hurt, and it was all he could do to keep his mouth shut and pay attention when he staggered into the forest after Hati. As focused as he was he still slammed into the back of Hati's legs when the large male stopped suddenly. Coming up alongside Hati, he noted with disinterest the mangled-looking female that held Hati's attention. He silently dropped his haunches to the ground to sit rigidly and wait for Hati's orders. Was this what they'd come here to do? Find this... female? He'd hoped it would be something more... bloody.
