Glorious Destractions

A scent brushed against his nose and Novocaine stopped suddenly, thinking for a moment before a disconcerting smile pulled his lips back. He adjusted his course, his good eye scanning for the owner of that particular scent. Branches obscured most of her from his view, and he stopped, unsure how to proceed. He didn’t think she had seen him yet and he wasn’t quite sure how to grab her attention. He wasn’t much for greetings and he was certain his usual approach wasn’t gonna be very effective.

Instead he settled on a middle ground, clearing his throat to draw her attention… if he didn’t already have it anyways. After a moment’s thought he tipped his head down, angling his missing eye away from her… it might not do to scare her away… not right away anyways.
